We offer rare Amami-produced gold-lipped white South Sea pearls from the Amami region of Japan.
Regular white South Sea pearls are cultivated for about 1.5 to 2 years after the nucleus is inserted. However, due to slow growth in Amami Oshima, they are cultivated for a longer period of about 2 to 3 years. This longer cultivation results in pearls with a fine texture, transparency, and beautiful luster, which is why they are considered to be of the highest quality in the world. We offer these Amami-produced gold-lipped white South Sea pearls.
"Aurora Chakin" is a special designation given to the highest quality gold-lipped white South Sea pearls by the Pearl Science Laboratory in their identification and appraisal report. It comes with an appraisal of the highest quality "Aurora Chakin" gold-lipped white South Sea pearls from the Pearl Science Laboratory and a certificate of origin proving they are from Amami.
